My name is C. E. Witherow and I’m a queer thriller writer living in Rochester, NY with my border collie mix Shakespeare.

about me
I grew up in Rochester and returned after completing my MA in English from SUNY New Paltz. I live with my rescue dog, Shakespeare, and I love getting to experience this city through new eyes since moving back.
I self published my debut novel, Daisy, Plucked, in 2025. Daisy’s story is a sapphic YA retelling of Shakespeare’s Hamlet set in modern day Rochester.
I’ve had short stories published in Crab Fat Magazine and The Stonesthrow Review, and I’ve had poetry published in The Stonesthrow Review, The Shawangunk Review, and Lilac Mag.
